Overall not a bad effort this time around. I’m sure there are those of us who can’t forget the dismally disgusting attempt at a TV show…with a star who wore jeans, a t-shirt, AND a jacket…while I’m not the overly skin-desiring junkie I used to be (marriage does that) I at least want a film adaptation that will be a tad closer to the comic book. So far the shills at both Marvel and DC have been accomplishing that in spades.

Okay so earlier this year Gateworld had reported that Stargate Atlantis star Jason Momoa (Ronon Dex) was going to be losing his dreads as part of a story point early in the next season and thus receive a new look. It turns out that may have been premature. Read more
G.I. Joe Movie Update

Here’s the latest, new images have surfaced online regarding the new G.I. Joe live action film which is set to debut in late 2009 (Aug). Here we see beautiful (usually blonde) Sienna Miller in a tight leather outfit toting a serious piece of hardware. Ni-ice.

Folks on the internet are all abuzz over this just newly discovered image of STREETFIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI star Kristin Kruek as Chun-Li. Do we know this for sure? No. Has she ever been in a film or show that resembled this closely the backstory of a character she is signed to portray and has it ever been her looking as precisely as she does today? No. Do we fanboys really care? A resounding N-O!
TERMINATOR 4 CASTING UPDATE

Warner Bros., has sent out yet another “new” press release. What’s worth reporting is that there a several new casting tidbits reported, namely: Charlotte Gainsbourg, as Kate Connor, yes friends that WOULD indeed be the same Kate we were introduced to in T3 as Kate Brewster, played by Claire Danes. If you remember correctly Brewster was actually the one who sent the last terminator back in time to protect John, as Connor was said to have been assassinated on July 4th 2032 by a T-850. Judging by the character’s name, it appears that Kate and John have since gotten married.
DRAGONBALL MOVIE UPDATE

/Film has posted several new publicity stills from the film. Here are three of my favs. It looks to me like the film is shaping up nicely. It has always been a pipe dream for me actually. Although details about the film have been sketchy at best, it’s still up in the air whether this will be a DRAGONBALL or DRAGONBALL Z oriented story. Of course some feel that it’s going to be a completely original live action story with the characters being similar and that’s it.

It is with the utmost pride that we announce that Michael Dorn will be the second of two featured guests to join us at our Fall show. Michael Dorn portrayed Lieutenant Commander Worf, the first Klingon warrior to serve in the Federation Starfleet. After serving seven years on the U.S.S. Enterprise on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Worf was brought to Deep Space Nine by Captain Benjamin Sisko to act as a diplomatic liaison with the Klingons.

It is my pleasure and with great pride that I announce that after a hiatus (of sorts) from the convention scene, Terry Farrell is returning to Vulkon. Replacing Edward James Olmos as our featured guest on Saturday during our Fall Show. Expect a fun Q&A session followed by her autograph time. There is the possibility that she’ll be at the banquet, a notice to that effect will follow as soon as its confirmed. Pricing for her autographs will be posted soon as well.
