‘BUFFY’ the focus of academic conference

Buffy the Vampire Slayer and other creations of writer/producer Joss Whedon were the subject of a three-day academic conference held this weekend at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, the Associated Press reports.

Joss Whedon Is Playing With Dolls. A good thing, no? Okay we’ve been hearing all over the interweb about Joss Whedon’s new endeavor. It’s been one of many such “endeavors” that’s been reported he’s had his hands in. Chief among them being: Goners, a supernatural thriller about dead people, a Serenity sequel, which it looks like isn’t happening now, and (of course) Dollhouse, which FOX has already picked up for a full seven episodes “sight unseen”, meaning there has been no formal pilot announced.
